Through my travels and experiences.
Over the years of utilizing the internet for any and all questions I might have about anything, I found that the most useful utility is discovery of the best places to experience. While the internet has lead me to many of these places, I still seem to feel like I am missing out on the local secrets that can bring new life to an area. Advertising seems to be the motivating force behind where a weary traveler should go or not. I hate to think that just because one business has more advertising dollars than the next, they should be the only option an explorer has. Therefor, I am starting this blog to open up a discussion about the best of the best, in my eyes and yours.
However, before you get into an uproar, I do not intend to give away every secret of every favorite spot. The last thing I want is for the quiet small towns of America to be overrun with corporate hoopla. My goal is to help discover the hidden gems, to keep them alive, to make them prosper, and to leave them exactly the way they are. Happy Trails - Jeff

Sounds very interesting! You know I think you may be on to some of the people not wanting to advertise the "most" special gems. We have a fishing spot that we go to that has not yet been "discovered" by the media yet and it is amazing. I know the few people who know about it are pretty quiet about it. :) It is funny because I hear them talk about different areas to new people and this one particular spot NEVER gets mentioned. Quite funny! Anyways, I love the outdoors and if you find a gem through your blog, more power to ya! :)
